Dear students,

Next week, we will have a 2-hour lecture on Monday, 16 June, and a 1-hour tutorial on Wednesday, 18 June. The course will be finished after that.

There are two options for the final exam, which will be conducted in an oral format, with approximately 30 minutes per session:

Early exam: This will take place in the last week of June, preferably on 26 or 27 June (from 9:00 to 12:00). If you would like to take the early exam, please email me to register and indicate your preferred time slots. The deadline for registration is Friday, 20 June.

Later exam: This will take place in July or afterward. For this option, you need to contact Prof. Herzberg (herzberg@math.uni-sb.de) to arrange an appointment, as he will be the examiner.

Please note that the exam cannot be re-taken (i.e., there is no "second exam"). Please let me know if there are questions that you may have.

Kind regards,

Thuan Nguyen

Dear students,

To balance the progress between the lecture and tutorial sessions, we will have on this Wednesday, 21 May, a two-hour tutorial instead of a one-hour one. Because of this, Assignment Sheet 6 has been updated to include one additional exercise.

Best regards, Thuan Nguyen
