It is due on 18.12.2025 at 23:59 CEST. If you would like to know about the release schedule before/after the holidays, please check this thread: https://nnti.sic.saarland/t/assignments-over-the-holiday-break/110/2 Starting from Assignment 08, LLM usage is strictly not allowed for converting handwritten solutions to LaTeX. You can submit handwritten solutions as before, but you cannot use an LLM to convert them to LaTeX and submit the resulting PDF. This means that no part of the assignment (whether the assignment sheet or your (intermediate) solutions), should be entered into an LLM at any point, and will count as a violation of the AI Usage policy as mentioned here: https://nnti.sic.saarland/t/ai-generated-content/87 You may use an LLM to understand a general topic, but do not enter any assignment questions into one, even for clarifications (that is what the Forum is for, we always reply quickly!). Starting from Assignment 08, please also mention the name of the team member(s) solving each (sub)part. You will, as before, gain or lose points as a team, and will be asked to present any part regardless of who solved it. This is only for accountability of plagiarism, and we don't really care if a team member solved fewer parts as long as they can present in the tutorials (so please do not falsify this information!) Good luck with the final assignment before Christmas :) Best, The NNTI Team |

Examples of such reasons include being genuinely sick or having an official appointment with the Ausländerbehörde (ABH) that directly clashes with your tutorial time. Please note that personal commitments or a doctor’s appointment during the tutorial do not count as valid excuses. If you are sick and unable to attend, you must send your tutor the official German sick note, the Arbeitsunfähigkeitsbescheinigung (certificate of unfitness for work), and cc Prof. Klakow. Simply writing an email saying you are sick is not enough, the certificate must be attached, and it should be sent promptly. Please remember that tutors are not responsible for following up on absences. It is your responsibility to provide the required documentation to avoid penalties for missing your presentation. Best, |
