we have added a passing status to the minitest section on your personal status page.
If it you have at least 30 points in the minitests overall and it says "passed" below the points, then you are admitted to the exam and are not required to attend the final minitest (you are, of course, still welcome to participate).

Dear students,

the Christmas break is nearing and, with that, we want to update you on the next dates regarding lectures, tutorials, and minitests.

Lectures: Tomorrow (09.12.) is the last lecture before the Christmas break. We continue in the new year on 05.01.2026 at 08:30am.

Tutorials: The tutorials continue until next week (18.12./19.12.) where sheet number 7 (releasing tomorrow) will be discussed.
There will be a bonus exercise sheet with tasks from all chapters coming out as well.
This bonus sheet will be discussed in the tutorials in the first lecture week of the new year (08.01./09.01.).

Minitests: The fourth and final minitest will take place on 12.01.2025 at 08:30am.
There will be an additional fifth minitest for students who missed one of the other minitests for valid reasons (e.g., sickness or visa issues).
We have collected all requests from students regarding this additional test over the semester and will invite them individually.
The exact date for this additional test will be announced in early January. The most likely dates are either 19.01 or 26.01.

Dear Students,

On Monday, 08.12., the third minitest will take place at 08:30.
Make sure to be there not later than 08:25 so we can start on time! Students who are late will not be allowed to take the minitest.
The minitest will cover everything presented in the lecture since the last minitest and the parts of the expression problem discussed before the last minitest.

Dear students,

we just released the results of the second minitest. You can find the results on your personal status page.
A sample solution for the minitest will be discussed in the tutorials.
Inspection of the remaining minitests (including this one) will occur on one consolidated date in January.

Dear students,

note that there are no lectures next week (17.11. and 18.11.).
Tutorials take place as planned and there will be an additional exercise sheet concerning the expression problem.

We continue with the lectures on Monday 24.11. at 08:45.
On that date, the second minitest will take place at 08:30.
Make sure to be there not later than 08:25 so we can start in time! Students who are late will not be allowed to take the minitest.
The minitest will cover everything presented in the lecture since the last minitest (including feature model changes; excluding the expression problem).

Dear Students,

on Monday, 03.11., the first minitest takes place at 8:30 in the lecture halls HS 0.01 and HS 0.02 in building E1.3.
Please be in front of the lecture halls a couple minutes early so that we can start in time.
Remember to bring a pen and your student ID.
Also, note that no additional aides are allowed!

Dear students, 

for organizational reasons we want to know how many of you intend to participate in the first minitest. For this purpose we created a survey, which you can find on your personal status page under the heading Registrations. Please note that this is not a mandatory registration, it only serves to give us a rough estimate of the attendance number we have to plan for. You can participate in the minitest regardless of if you answer or not.

Dear students, 

because we recieved multiple questions on the topic, we wanted to clarify that this course can be taken by students of both the Bachelor's and Master's programs in Computer Science. To the best of our knowledge the same applies to most other study programs offered by the Department of Computer Science, with the exceptions of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Bachelor's program and the Visual Computing Master's program (if your Bachelor is computer science related). If you are unsure wether you can take this course as part of your study program please contact the examination office.
